(English) Love Bali System Updates: Supporting Sustainable Tourism in Bali

Sorry, this entry is only available in English.

At Kura-Kura Bus, we actively support initiatives that help preserve Bali’s natural environment and rich cultural heritage. Therefore, we would like to share the latest updates to the Love Bali system, introduced by the Bali Provincial Government through the Bali Tourism Office.

These updates support the ongoing implementation of the Tourism Levy for Foreign Visitors. As a result, travellers can enjoy a smoother and more reliable payment experience. At the same time, the levy continues to support sustainable tourism across the island.

What’s New in the Love Bali System?

To improve convenience and data accuracy, the Love Bali platform now includes several important enhancements.

UnionPay Payment Option Now Available
Travellers can now pay the tourism levy using UnionPay. This new option adds flexibility, especially for international visitors who prefer this payment method. In addition, it helps make the payment process more accessible.

Improved Traveller Name Format
The Love Bali system now separates traveller names into First Name (Given Name) and Last Name (Surname). This update follows international travel standards. As a result, the system records visitor data more accurately.

Country of Origin Information Required
During payment, travellers must now enter their country of origin. This requirement supports tourism statistics and market analysis. Moreover, it helps improve destination planning and visitor services in Bali.

Why This Is Important

The tourism levy collected through the Love Bali system plays a key role in protecting Bali’s future. Specifically, the funds support:

  • The preservation of Bali’s cultural heritage

  • Environmental protection and conservation programmes

  • Sustainable tourism development that benefits local communities

Therefore, these system updates aim to create a clearer and more user-friendly payment process. At the same time, they help ensure that tourism continues to deliver positive long-term impact for Bali.

At Kura-Kura Bus, we encourage travellers to complete the tourism levy in advance. By doing so, visitors can enjoy a smoother arrival experience while contributing to responsible tourism.
