July 11, 2025, JTB Indonesia collaborated with Wana Segara Kertih to conduct a meaningful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity under The JTB Brighter Earth Project. The focus of this initiative was mangrove planting and coastal cleanup, carried out in Bali as part of our commitment to preserving the environment for future generations.

Learning Before Action: The Importance of Mangroves
All participants gathered at Wana Segara Kertih. The event began with a warm and inspiring speech by our President Director, Mr. Mizuta Isao.
A representative from Wana Segara Kertih then gave an informative session, sharing insights about the role of mangrove ecosystems, their impact on climate resilience, and how they protect our coastlines and marine biodiversity.
We also learned more about Wana Segara Kertih’s mission in environmental education, local empowerment, and ecosystem restoration.
From Awareness to Action: Planting and Cleaning Together
The main activity followed: planting mangroves and removing plastic waste from the surrounding area. Participants worked hand-in-hand, demonstrating how small actions can lead to big change when done together.
This hands-on experience reflected the spirit of the JTB Brighter Earth Project—connecting people and places through sustainable and responsible action.
Nature’s Little Surprises
The day wasn’t just about work—we also enjoyed unexpected encounters with mud crabs, spotted a freshwater lobster, and observed local fishermen collecting mangrove clams. These small moments highlighted the richness of Bali’s coastal biodiversity and reminded us of what we are striving to protect.
Closing with Gratitude and Togetherness
After completing the planting and cleanup, participants returned to the meeting point to wash up and relax. The day concluded with a delicious seafood dinner, giving everyone time to connect, reflect, and celebrate a job well done.
