Kura-Kura Bus attended the recent “Tourism EXPO 2014 Japan” held in Tokyo from 25 – 28 September 2014. Formerly known as the “JATA Travel Fair”, it is one of the largest travel events in the world. The event is held annually at Tokyo Big Sight, and this year over 150,000 visitors attended over the four-day period.  Kura-Kura Bus was proud to have an exhibition stall at the event, with two Japanese staff, one Russian staff, and the ever-popular Kuramon mascot being on hand to meet members of the public. The 24th annual Bon Odori Bali Festival will be held on Saturday, 6 September 2014. This fun event has been running since 1990, and is organized by the Bali Japan Club. There are many Japanese expats living in Bali and multi-cultural marriages between Japanese and Balinese are common. Bon Odori is a Japanese Summer Festival that celebrates the Japanese culture through traditional dance, games and food. Galungan is the most important festival for Bali’s local Hindu people. Held every 210 days according to the Balinese calendar, Galungan is a celebration that honors the creator of the universe and the spirits of the ancestors.
