Overview
Join the Highlight of Bali Tour and explore the island’s rich cultural heart in just one day. This full-day experience is perfect for travelers who want to see a different side of Bali — beyond the beaches — with stops that showcase history, traditional craftsmanship, breathtaking views, and local village life. You’ll be accompanied by a professional English-speaking guide and travel in the comfort of an air-conditioned vehicle as you uncover the real charm of Bali.
Your first stop is Blahbatuh Village in Gianyar, known as one of Bali’s artisan hubs. Here, you’ll visit a traditional gong-smith workshop, where skilled craftsmen have been creating ceremonial gongs for generations. Watch how each gong is molded, painted, and hand-tuned using only the gong-smith’s ear — a fascinating process that connects deeply with Balinese spirituality. You’ll even have a chance to try playing the gamelan yourself.
Next, you’ll head to Gedong Arca Museum, one of Bali’s most important archaeological sites. Your guide will walk you through the museum’s layout, based on the Balinese concept of sacred space: Nista Mandala (outer), Madya Mandala (middle), and Utama Mandala (inner). Inside, explore ancient stone carvings, sacred manuscripts, and even a rare stone coffin used by Balinese royalty in the past.
From there, the tour continues to Sri Batu Plantation Village, where you’ll walk through lush fields of coffee trees, tropical fruits, herbs, and spices. Enjoy a tasting session of locally made teas and coffees, including the world-famous Luwak coffee, served with traditional Balinese snacks. Before you leave, you’ll have the chance to purchase freshly packed coffee, tea, or chocolate to bring home.
After a morning of discovery, you’ll stop for lunch at a scenic restaurant in Kintamani, overlooking the majestic Mount Batur and its crater lake. The cool mountain air and panoramic view make it the perfect place to relax and enjoy your meal.
Your final stop for the day is Penglipuran Village, widely recognized as one of the cleanest villages in the world. On the way in, you’ll pass through a peaceful bamboo forest before arriving at the village gates. Here, you’ll have the chance to wear traditional Balinese attire and stroll through the beautifully preserved streets, observing daily life and strong cultural values. You can also sample Loloh Cemcem, a unique local herbal drink made from native leaves.
